As a special highlight of your stay in Minsk we offer you a city tour in an original Zaporozhets built in 1977 (Model SAS-968A). Our guide Pavel is a lover and expert for Soviet cars. The Zaporozhets, once a popular vehicle in the Soviet Union, was produced from 1960 to 1994 in the Ukrainian city of Zaporozhya. Colloquially the vehicles were called in Germany, but especially in the GDR, mostly Zaporozh or simply Sapo. Nowadays, these cars can hardly be seen on the streets of Belarus and have become real rarities.
Especially in the evening such a tour through the illuminated city is very impressive. During the approximately 2.5 hour tour you cross the city once from east to west on the Independence Boulevard, you drive through the working-class district near the Minsk tractor factory, get a picture of the Minsk suburbs and return to the center through the picturesque Osmolowka district. Pavel will tell you interesting stories about "his Minsk" along the way.
If you like, Pavel will let you get behind the wheel and you can experience this unique driving experience for yourself.
